This week we studied finding suppliers. Like many things in life, there isn’t always a clear correct answer. You can have an idea of a starting point, but you won’t know if it will actually work until you try it. We had to develop an opinion about which supplier we would choose. I choose Alibaba for several reasons, but the main reason is their low prices. However, I wouldn’t actually know if that is the best reason until I purchase from them and try to sell the products. The whole process could go well or it could be a total bust. I wouldn’t know until I actually try.
This is very similar to a lot of choices in life. For
example, when there are several big money purchases that need to be made you
have to choose which one takes priority. However, you won’t actually know if it
was the right choice until you purchase it. You could find that it was the
right choice or it could end up being the wrong choice.
It looks like life is full of risk. Which is scary to me.
What can help reduce the worry of risk is by doing your
research. Put forth your study and effort beforehand, so you can make an educated
decision. Learn about your supplier. Learn from others’ experiences. Do all you
can to learn what you can. This reminds me of a poem that I learned in the
fifth grade – “Good, Better, best. Never let it rest, till your good is better
and your better is best.” You start off doing the best you can. Then along the
way, you will learn from your failures and your successes. You will then see
yourself becoming more confident in your decisions.
