After launching my Google Ads campaign, I had some action on my website. I got an email from someone who used the form on my “Contact Me” page. I was so nervous and excited! I read the email ready to fulfill whatever order this customer had. They wanted me to cancel their tv subscription because they didn’t like the streaming service. Ha-ha! I was so confused as to why this person thought I was a tv streaming service. So, I went to my Google Ads campaign. There I was able to see the top search that led people to my website was the keyword “up faith and family”. I searched that keyword and I was led to a faith-based tv streaming service. I emailed the lady back with the website link that sent her to that service. Hopefully, it was helpful to her.
I had my first interaction with someone who had “used” my website!
It wasn’t the interaction I was hoping for, but I do think it has helped me
analyze several things about my campaign and my website. I am now going to add
some negative keywords to my campaign so people who are searching for Up Family
& Faith are not being led to my website. I am adjusting my landing page so
it is clearly a printed t-shirt page. It is also making me think I need to have
the word “vinyl” on my landing page and campaign so customers know what is being
printed on the t-shirts.
I’m able to see what adjustments I need to make. Again, even
though the interaction on my website was not what I was hoping for. I’m to take
it and make it a learning opportunity. Hopefully, I won’t be so nervous the
next time someone does use my website.
